Research Focuses at Los Alamos National Laboratory

  • Applying the NCAR CCSM (Community Climate System Model) to study the effects of aerosol on climate and climate change primarily over the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean
  • Employing the NCAR WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) mesoscale model to investigate climate and climate change in Greenland and its adjacent areas
  • Using high-resolution satellite data to study the structure and evolution of atmospheric systems such as tropical cyclones over the Atlantic basin
